Sadie May is a very sweet and lovely dark gray tabby who loves being held and cuddled. She is the ultimate lap cat.
We saw Sadie May at Alamogordo Animal Control and took her to Kitty City to be vetted and placed for adoption. She has been with us since May 2023 and is spayed and microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Sadie was actually adopted by a husband and wife who fell in love with her the minute they met her. But sadly, she had to be returned by the nice couple because she and their small dog did not get along. We are guessing it is because Sadie May has so much longing for affection that she might have been jealous of the little dog. Sadie probably wanted all the human attention for herself. Sadie will do best in a home without dogs or even other cats, although she gets along fine with other cats at Kitty City. Sadie lives for human companionship. She lights up when she sees humans around, and she will do what it takes to get their attention. She will brush against their legs to make sure they acknowledge her presence. She will jump onto a table or cat tree to be at eye level with a human every chance she gets. And beware to any human who sits in a chair or on the floor. Sadie literally runs across the room to claim the person's lap. And that is when her contentment begins. She will remain on the lap until the human literally stands up, and even then she lets out a meow as if to say not yet; I want more please. She is just delightful. If ever there was a people kitty, it is Sadie May.
