Oriole is a pretty girl who has a two-tone coat of black with some gray. Until July 2025, Oriole has been with her mama. After she was separated from her mama due to her age, Oriole understandably missed her mama. We placed her in a catio with other kittens who were a bit younger than she is. She showed no interest in being with the other kittens. Then it came to us: Oriole didn't like being behind bars or wire. So Oriole was placed with a few adult cats in the adoption building where she was free to run around and explore. She liked that! And she has made friends with the other cats and joins in on play time. Oriole is loving her freedom. She is open and receptive to humans and their touch. She has shown contentment when being picked up. Although she is not a cuddler, she loves being petted. Oriole follows after us humans to make sure we know she is there and expects some recognition. She has developed positive relationships with both the staff and other cats. We would describe Oriole as sassy, playful and a tease.
