During one of our visits to Alamogordo Animal Control in mid-November, we found a very nice kitty there in one of the kennels. We are not aware of the circumstances as to why or how the kitty was brought to Animal Control, but we did know that he was very adoptable, so we rescued him from Animal Control. Mike, one of our loyal fosters who absolutely loves cats, immediately offered to take him home to be with a couple other fosters plus his own cats. Mike named the male kitty Minolta. Minolta was born approximately June 15 of this year, making him 6 months old. He is a handsome tabby cat with definite tabby markings on his face, but, unlike a classic tabby, not so much on his body. His body coloring is mostly a solid silvery gray, which resembles a little fox. He has a short coat of fur. His foster reports that he is very sweet and very active. His favorite position is on his back. Minolta assumes this position often because he knows he will receive the belly rubs that he loves - really loves! Minolta is doing very well in his loving foster home where he plays nicely with the other kitties. But nothing would make him happier than to find a forever home with a human who would become his best friend and continue those belly rubs. Minolta had a distemper vaccination, which is effective until December 4, 2023. Kitty City will soon be scheduling Minolta for his neuter, a rabies vaccination and a microchip. If anyone would like to meet Minolta, arrangements can easily be made with the foster.
