Irie is quite the unique cat. He can come across as affectionate and will even allow his head and back to be pet. But he will let you know when he has had enough handling. Then he can become aggressive verbally (a meow that says "back off") and if the person does not back away, Irie will resort to swatting. He will also use his teeth when annoyed. He is very vocal and prefers his own space. However, Irie truly enjoys seeing and being around people, but he doesn't know how to behave himself. He cannot be trusted with children of any age.
Irie has an extreme dislike for other cats, and he cannot be trusted to be in the same room with any other cat. For the sake of Irie's happiness, he absolutely MUST be an only cat in his adopted home! Irie does like dogs.
