Diesel began her life as a pet to an autistic 13-year-old boy who had just lost his grandfather. She acquired her name because she purred very loudly. Curiously, the loud purr went away when she was established in a secure environment with the boy and his grandmother. Diesel went from a 4-month-old country kitten to a very sophisticated lady of comfort in a house where she will "twitter" to tell her person she wants food or attention. She is very self-assured and likes to be scratched around the ears when she is in the mood. Because she is prone to hairballs and stomach distress, Diesel requires a special sensitive stomach diet (no red dyes). Diesel likes to be fed 2-3 times a day, and will reward that favor with attention and love.
DIESEL'S FRONT PAWS WERE DECLAWED IN SEPTEMBER 2013.
Adopter changed name from Diesel to Marilyn.
