Buttercup is with a loving foster family since January 2023. She was picked up from the Otero County Animal Shelter. At first, Buttercup was too scared to leave her kennel. However, each day she has lived with her foster family, she has become more confident and interactive. She loves playing with her cat toys and lasers. Buttercup is still shy when approached, but once she is petted on her back, she can't get enough rubs. At times, her shy streak still comes out. But if she feels safe, she will come back to her people for their affection.
