I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Apricot

We're happy to tell you that Apricot has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the cats currently available.

Apricot is a pretty and petite 2-year-old female who has not been with us very long. She was surrendered to Kitty City on September 9, 2023 by a member of the military because he said he was unable to provide a good enough home for Apricot.

At first Apricot took her separation from her owner very hard. She was withdrawn and kept to herself in her room and she would always be found in the same spot on a particular cat tree. But Apricot must have sensed that we were the good guys as we attempted to earn her trust. And after about two or three weeks, everything turned around for her. She actually began seeking our attention. At first she had been selective as to who she warmed up to. But soon she became less picky and wanted everyone's attention. She began responding positively to just about everybody. She realized she missed human companionship and wanted it again. She particularly enjoys one of our lady volunteers who enters her room, talks to her, then sits down and invites Apricot to join her. Well, Apricot was on her lap in a flash and she remained there enjoying pets and cuddles. That was the turning point for this sweet girl.

Apricot is a combination of a tabby and tortoiseshell. Her colors are gray tabby with orange markings. She is just a bit on the small side for her age. Apricot is spayed but will need a current rabies vaccination, which we will take care of. We can also make arrangements for her to be microchipped.

Apricot is a sweetheart who is very worthy and deserving of a wonderful home.
