Silk came to Kitty City along with her two kittens from a home where the owner passed away. She arrived in early April and was still nursing her babies, who were 6 weeks old. Silk is sweet, chirps softly and loves to be petted. However, she was stressed from being kenneled. Silk and her kittens were placed in a foster home. She instantly calmed down when allowed out of the kennel. She is now free to walk around and explore her new room. Silk's kittens will remain with her until they are properly weaned at 8 weeks old. She will be allowed to dry out for a couple of weeks and then be taken to the vet for spay surgery, vaccinating and microchipping. At that time she will be available to go home with an adopter (approximately early to mid-May). Silk can be pre-adopted upon payment of her adoption fee.
