Marble's owner passed away. She and her sister Spruce were brought to Kitty City by a concerned and caring neighbor. Marble and Spruce were very frightened upon their arrival. We allowed them the time they needed to settle down and become acquainted with new people and their new surroundings. Everything was different from the life they had known. It was hard on them, but our patience is paying off. Marble has gotten lots of reassurance from us humans that she is safe and loved. She is still quite shy, but so sweet and loves to be pet. We are receiving a positive reaction to our pets and affection. Happily, Marble is moving in the right direction and showing signs of trust. We know she is seeking the affection she had from her former owner.
Marble is a polydactyl - she has 6 toes on each front paw. A volunteer said, "She shows off her front 'thumbs' when kneading."
