Kitty City has a few policies that must be adhered to in order to adopt our cats. Please remember the following when adopting from us:
Cats placed by Kitty City are adopted as indoor pets only. There are no exceptions to this rule. Do not ask to adopt a Kitty City cat if you intend on allowing your cat to go outdoors.
Kitty City does not adopt cats to families who wish to declaw. Declawing is an unnecessary painful multi-amputation surgery. For more information on declawing please read our article about declawing on our FAQ page.
Kitty City is dedicated to making sure that every one of our cats has a lifelong and loving indoor home. If for any reason you are not able to keep your Kitty City cat you must return the cat to Kitty City rather than taking the cat to another shelter, giving the cat away, or abandoning the cat.
Cats over the age of 6 months $60.00. These cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and most are microchipped.
Kittens up to 6 months are $60.00.  This includes the spay and neuter when the kitten is old enough or a refundable spay/neuter deposit if you decide to use a vet other than ours. A spay/neuter agreement contract is also required for all cats adopted that are not spayed or neutered at the time of the adoption.
We now do snap testing of our intake cats  for Feline Leukemia.  This procedure is done to cats that will be placed with other cats in rooms. This reduces the dangers of the spread of feline leukemia.
Adopters are now responsible to have their kittens spayed or neutered when their adopted pet is 6 months of age. Upon a letter from the adopter’s veterinarian stating the adopters cat was spayed or neutered Kitty City will refund the $50 spay/neuter deposit.
